Aloo anaardana chaat
Ingredients
2 large potatoes, boiled and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup fresh pomegranate kernels
1 large onion, chopped
2 greenchilies, chopped
½ cup roasted peanuts
2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
2 teaspoons chaat masala
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons green chutney
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, pomegranate kernels, onion, green chilies, peanuts, fresh coriander, fresh mint, chaat masala and salt and toss well.
- Add the lemon juice and green chutney and toss the mixture again.
- Transfer the mixture into individual bowls and serve immediately.
Tip
The bejewelled look of this chaat is a sight to behold. And its
superb taste will have enjoyed asking for more! What I like is the softness of
potato with the crunchiness of the pomegranate kernels and these two textures
got very well with fussy kids! Anaar is excellent for them as it has refreshing
and soothing qualities that improve digestion. Peanuts add protein, calcium and
vitamin E.
